Yes I do check these sites as I'm a big shemale lover and yes you do need a credit card. There are 2 reasons for this, one is to verify your age and the other reason is if you want to purchase "upsells" meaning private sex shows or other goodies you will not have to enter your info once more. I can however garantuee you that a membership is 100% free so your credit card will never be charged if you do not buy any "upsells".

Edit: you are commenting on a post I made in 2006, things have changed, we are 2008 and porn sites ask for credit card information for age verification purposes because of too many minors signing up for "porn by mail" sites and for the other reasons I mentioned.
